Short History
Barangay Sta. Cruz was formed through the combination of numerous Sitio of Barangay Dela Paz. These sitio are: Sta. Cruz, Nagpuso, Cavaliers, Kay Baiya, Mahal na Poon, Tawid-Tawid, Uulan, Makatubong, Mini, Tagisan, at Seven Hill. The Batas Pambansa Bilang 791 enacted on April 27, 1984 paved the way for the creation of the now Barangay Sta. Cruz. The first Chairman of Barangay Sta. Cruz was Honorable Jesus Gonzales that assumed office in the year 1992 while Honorable Ma. Herra M. Domingo held the position on 1994. Furthermore, since 1994 until November 30, 2007, the leader of Barangay Sta. Cruz was Honorable Rina G. Junio. After which, Honorable Oscar “Oca” T. Tamayao was elected on December 1, 2007 and is still the current Barangay Chairman. The official fiesta of Barangay Sta. Cruz was set on the 1st Sunday of May. |

Barangay Sta. Cruz has a total land area of 752.52 hectares in the City of Antipolo. Wherein, 50% of this is classified as residential while the other 40% is said to be vacant and the remaining 10% is either for commercial or other use. Moreover, Barangay Sta.
